Our Activities Coordinator and in-house fitness coach Viv is always looking for new and exciting ways for you to experience fitness. This month she is running a Yoga Wheel workshop, a sure-fire way to take your yoga poses to the next level. Err, so what is a yoga wheel, exactly? Well, a yoga wheel is a hollow, circular shaped piece of equipment that is designed to help you achieve a deeper stretch, aid you in nailing those more precarious balances, and relieving tension in hard to reach places.
The yoga wheel opens up a whole new world of possibilities… you can use it for chest opening poses, but you can also place your hands or elbows on it and get into a deeper child’s pose. And if you’re a bit more advanced you can use it for handstand prep. One thing is for sure, you need a little bit of practice to get the most out of it.
We’re putting on a 1.5 hour workshop that will show you how to use the yoga wheel safely and confidently. Please don’t be scared of it! It can be used by absolutely anybody. Here are just a few benefits of the yoga wheel…
