We’re really excited to be starting our weekly Baby and Toddlers group, which is a chance for parents and carers to get together and chat whilst their babies and toddlers play in a safe, friendly and supervised setting.
The last couple of years have been rough for everyone, but especially for people taking care of young children. Sometimes all you need is to be around other grown ups and meet some people in a similar circumstance to you. This is what we want The Hungry Mind Tuesday Tots to become – a place where parents and carers can come together, chat, catch up, feel involved and go away feeling good.
The Hungry Mind is a great place to meet new people, to learn more about life in The Hague and to feel part of a very special community. It was set up to make people feel at home, even though they are far away from theirs. Everyone experiences similar feelings when they move to a new city or country and often, with young children you can feel a bit lonely.

The Hungry Mind has oodles of positive energy and the new Tuesday Tots group will be supervised by the very lovely Kerry Pugh.
ABOUT KERRY
Kerry comes from England and has been living in The Hague for over 15 years. She has an NNEB (National Nursery Examination Board) qualification and was a nanny in London for 14 years, working with children from 3 months to 12 years old. She then spent 6 years working in a school for children with severe learning difficulties with a focus on nursery aged children with multiple and physical learning disabilities. She became the Sensory Coordinator at the school and worked closely with the children that needed more focussed sensory input, working closely with parents, teachers, physios and speech, language, music and drama therapists to build individual programmes that children could follow both at school and at home. In The Hague Kerry has worked at The British School as a teaching assistant and learning support across all year groups. Most recently Kerry has been taking care of a new born baby and supporting its family during lockdown.
